Job Summary:

The Operations Manager will oversee the operational functions for a specific geographic region. The Manager supports the Director-South on issues and concerns relative to administrative, employee development, sales, client satisfaction, and profitability.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Prepare, submit, and operate against approved annual budget.
  3. Monitors progress against short and long-term business objectives.
  4. Responsible for P&L of assigned region.
  5. Develop and manage a progressive, aggressive, and innovative sales and marketing program to continue to grow profitable base of business;
  6. Responsible for brand enhancement in the region.
  7. Evaluate industry/business trends for potential impact on the organization.
  8. Identify key business opportunities as well as potential threats to the business.
  9. Direct the implementation of best demonstrated industry and company practices as well as corporate, field and TQM initiatives.
  10. Provide billable services directly, as appropriate and provide counsel in areas of technical expertise;
  11. Direct major and/or highly sensitive projects.
  12. Coordinate with the sales representatives on business development priorities and key sales actions;
  13. Partner with other Pinkerton organizations on cross-selling efforts and referrals and negotiate client contracts.
  14. Supervise risk assessment assignments for clients including the analysis of upside and downside risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the quantitative and qualitative risks affecting the business.
  15. Oversee risk evaluation of businesses, which involves comparing estimated risks with risk criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements, and environmental factors;
  16. Assist with corporate governance including external risk reporting to stakeholders.
  17. Prescribe risk treatment solutions by selecting and implementing measures to control and mitigate risks including activities to avoid risks, transfer risks, and finance risks.
  18. Monitor and review processes to ensure risk and compliance arrangements are in place.
  19. At a strategic level, assist in the mapping process in order to understand business processes and linkage to areas of risk.
  20. Devise and implement crisis management and business continuity planning for clients.
  21. Maintain ongoing contact with client customers.
  22. Plan and participate in client service calls for the purpose of obtaining feedback critical to maintaining client accounts.
  23. Maintain ongoing contact with prospective organizations for the purpose of developing long-term quality business.
  24. Delegate workload effectively to ensure client requirements are met, staff members are utilized appropriately, and labor costs are contained.
  25. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Graduate with eight to fifteen years of law enforcement, security, investigations, risk management, military, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pinkerton is an inclusive employer who seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

  • CFE, CPP, PSP, ICPS certified, preferred.
