Hurricane Preparedness and Crisis Management Seminar

June 26, 2018

Pinkerton, the world’s leading provider of corporate risk management services and solutions, is partnering with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce to deliver a free hurricane preparedness and crisis management seminar for business leaders and C-suite executives in South Florida. Pinkerton is committed to assisting businesses throughout the State of Florida to proactively develop and implement all-hazard crisis management plans in advance of the 2018 hurricane season. Furthermore, Pinkerton has extensive experience supporting the Fortune 1000 and other public/private institutions to develop and implement crisis management plans in advance of environmental disasters, to include hurricanes.

For example, Pinkerton executed operations through the duration of Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, and most recently, deployed hundreds of agents in response to Harvey, Irma, and Maria. The 2017 hurricane season wreaked havoc across the Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions, causing an immense amount of damage, totaling more than $280 billion. Weather experts predict that the 2018 season will see more hurricanes and storms than the historical average.

Pinkerton risk management experts will present strategies for proactively developing and implementing all-hazard crisis management plans ahead of the 2018 hurricane season through a holistic approach to risk mitigation. The seminar will help attendees in their efforts to reduce the lethality and risk exposure of environmental hazards, and increase effectiveness of their crisis management plans through the entirety of an environmental disaster.

Topics Include:

  • How a holistic approach can help prepare for and reduce the impact and timeliness to recover from a hurricane
  • Past case studies of assisting organizations in preparing and responding to Hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, Harvey, Irma and Maria
  • How the variable risk exposure of a hurricane can impact your business and be mitigated
  • How to develop and implement an effective crisis management plan
  • How to test the effectiveness of a crisis management plan
  • How to trigger a crisis management plan
