Over the past two decades Brian K. Rand has cultivated his professional status as a globally recognized subject matter expert in emergency management and incident response. Mr. Rand distinguished himself in the Federal Government and the United States Intelligence Community for his expertise in “all hazards” emergency planning. Mr. Rand further solidified his professional standing with awards from the President of the United States, the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and several awards from the Department of Defense, for innovations in emergency management programs, and response preparedness. Mr. Rand began his career in the United States Marine Corps in 1996, as a physical security specialist, and after receiving his honorable discharge- later returned to duty with the US Army, as a combat medic in 2006. Before joining Pinkerton, Mr. Rand concluded his public service in the United States Intelligence Community (IC) as a subject matter expert in chemical, biological, nuclear, radiological and high-yield explosions, and other large-scale mass casualty incidents, such as active shooter/threat and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
