– In Mexico, local media reported a wave of violence in the states of Guanajuato, Guerrero, and Veracruz that took place during the first two weeks of the current year.

– Per media sources, Google has removed 53 applications from its Play Store after researchers at cyber-security firms Avast and Trend Micro discovered a new Android malware named GhostTeam, which targets Facebook credentials and pushes advertisements to infected devices.
