Hazard and Event Risks 

  •  In Colombia, members the Revolutionary Army Forces of Colombia, or FARC, posted a video on YouTube last week in which they announced that the guerrilla group would continue with its fight. 
  • Last week, health officials reported an additional 159 measles cases during the final week of August in New Zealand. 
  • Carrie Lam, Hong Kong’s Chief Executive announced last week she would formally withdraw the extradition bill and take other measures to attempt to resolve the causes of the protests.

  • In the UK last week, the South Western Railway canceled 50% of its services until on the second, due to the strike organized by the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers.

  • In China last week, it was disclosed that the Chinese deepfake application Zao, that was launched on August 30, is likely to infringe the privacy of its users.
