Challenge
A renowned liquor manufacturer was receiving complaints about counterfeiting of their branded liquor. The suspected area was Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. The sale of company’s genuine product was gradually decreasing due to counterfeit being readily available in the market.
Solution
Pinkerton conducted an in-depth market survey in Uttar Pradesh focusing static and mobile surveillance operations on the target areas in Lucknow.
Results
As a result of a proactive and detailed investigation, the Pinkerton team traced a printing press which was being utilized for printing counterfeit packaging of the renowned liquor brand. Post liasioning with local law enforcement massive stocks of counterfeit brand packaging and machinery worth Lakhs were seized and the counterfeiters were arrested.
