Fifty years ago—in what would be hailed as the largest private security assignment in history—some 3,000 Pinkertons were deployed to the 1964/65 World’s Fair, at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY, USA. Approximately half of the Pinkertons were assigned to protect the billion-dollar exhibits while the other half staffed front-line services.
